Delete your account
Permanently delete your Orbit account
Enter the email on your Orbit account and we'll send you a one-time confirmation link. You don't need the app to delete your data.
The link is valid for 30 minutes. We'll always reply with a confirmation message, which doesn't confirm whether the email is on our system.
What gets deleted
- Your account row, password, OTP codes and sessions.
- Messages you sent (in shared conversations, your messages are removed; messages other participants sent stay so the conversation isn't blanked for them).
- Your devices' encryption keys, push tokens and avatar.
- If you're the last adult in your orbit and there are no kids in it, the orbit itself is also wiped.
Who this doesn't work for
- Children's accounts: these are deleted by the parent inside the Orbit app.
- Last parent in an orbit with kids: you'll need the Orbit app to delete the orbit (it removes your children's accounts with it). We'll point you to the app on the confirmation page if this applies to you.
